By now, if you haven’t heard that Gary Becker and Richard Posner are going to co-blog, you’ve been living under a rock. Nevertheless, it’s here.
Professor Gary Becker is a Nobel Prize winning economist, a fellow at the Hoover Institute at Stanford, and a Professor of Economics and Sociology at the University of Chicago. He won the Nobel Prize for extending economic analysis into areas of non-market behaviour, especially family relations.
Judge Richard Posner is a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin). He is also a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago.
Considering how controversial Prof. Becker’s economic analyses of family interactions are, and how everything that Judge Posner writes causes an uproar, this should be a lot of fun.
